Filmmaker Terry R. Wickham has found the right person to both record the sound and later create the sound design for his upcoming horror-thriller Gruesome Threesome.

Wickham says, “It’s not easy finding the right person to do such a task on any film, especially were you have budgetary constraints, so I feel very lucky to have Bryan Lopes come forward.  What’s got me super excited is that Bryan is really passionate about the possibilities of he can do for the movie in post.

He expressed to me that’s where he can really make a difference in engineering the sound design to make the audience’s experience visceral and lasting.”

Bryan Lopes Bio:

Bryan Lopes is a freelance sound designer and audio engineer from New Jersey. He graduated from Montclair State University where he pursued his B.A. degree in Television and Digital Media with a concentration in Sound Design. He developed a passion for all things sonic and learned during his time in MSU the importance sound design plays in film and television. He believed that good sound design in film possesses the ability to evoke within the audience the feeling of being untethered, sometimes overwhelming the senses and creating a truly immersive experience.

Bryan took on the role of sound editor and designer for Montclair’s radio station, WMSC. Here he produced, mixed and mastered several audio segments, including a special feature dedicated to the date of October 21, 2015 in which Marty McFly, lead character from the cult “Back to the Future” film, time travels to from the past in hopes of aiding his future children.

Some of his later work in audio includes live band session recordings, mixing and mastering songs, sound engineer for live performance venues, and sound designer for short films and commercial video. Currently, Bryan is in the middle of self-producing an episodic serial podcast entitled “Transitions”, which is a story that takes place in a dystopian future and follows the journey of Evan, a young social worker who discovers that he possesses a latent, genetic ability which allows him to see into the sub-conscious mind of any person. The podcast is expected to be released in 2017.
